    Raymond Thomas – 2 months

    cute baby chubbiness

Raymond is 13 and a half pounds – 2 months – pretty chunky. Everything checked out healthy at his 2 month appointment. He has been such a sweet baby. He is usually pretty chill. I find myself just wanting to sit and hold him in the evenings when the chaos has gone to bed. He is not a snuggler though, he prefers a little bit of space, usually facing out. In fact when he is fussy a lot of times the solution is just to put him down and let him stretch out. We love baby Ray so much. It makes me wonder if I had 100 kids would I still love them all so fiercely. Do our hearts and minds have a love limit – so far my answer is no limits. Ray has been sleeping from 10 or 11 pm until 5 or 6 am and then back to sleep for a few more hours while we get our morning started. Like I said before – sweet sweet baby.

4-19-12 he is waving hands and kicking feet constantly these days.

Packer weighs 38 pounds. He went in for his kindergarten shots this week. He was super brave. He told me that there is a sucker trick for doing shots. The trick is to get a sucker and then when they are going to give you the shot you crunch the sucker really hard and then you won’t feel the shot so much. That is exactly what Packer did. He crunched hard and didn’t cry or yell or anything. What a good boy. He didn’t do very well on the eye exam but the nurse said that it was normal for his age and not to worry about it yet. Everything else he did great and is a healthy boy almost turning 5 in a few days.

    Kevin and Conference

My brother Kevin brought his family out to Utah this past weekend so we got to spend the weekend with his family and the college kids over at Ryan’s place. We had a good time hanging out during and between conference sessions. We ate lots of good food and played a few games. We stayed up way too late and the kids played hard with all the cousins. Come Sunday night we were all exhausted but I loved it. Liz and Kevin are great and their kids are super cute and fun. Mostly I just got pictures of the babies…

Thomas was not a happy camper - so we decided to try again later...

Tommy was born in December and Ray in February so they are 2 months apart - when you are this little that makes a big difference.

Saturday Night Sleepover - our kids were SOO excited to stay the night.

Ray is a month old already. It’s crazy how fast that went. He is a darling little guy. He NEVER cries – like as soon as I hear a little squawk I run over and hold him and feed him because he is usually asleep or in chill mode. He sleeps A LOT during the day. Night time he sleeps for 3 or 4 hours between feedings. He does sleep in his bed most of the night, most nights so that is a bonus. Ray is losing his hair but he has a thick patch on top still. His nose seems larger than the other kids. We debate daily about the color of his eyes, we are still deciding if they are blue or not. Mostly he is super healthy and super easy so LIFE IS GOOD. (however, I am upset that i lost an hour to daylight savings – i did not have an hour of sleep to give. 1 month is when i always feel exhausted so that was not good timing.)

Yesterday I sent Benji and Packer off to play at the neighbors house. They were going to walk down and knock and see if they were home!! They crossed the street together practically skipping. Packer looked so proud to be going just him and Benji! I figure even if the friends can’t play it’ll be a good half hour outing by the time they got ready and there and back and so its a win for me.

Yesterday I played hide and go seek with Cali and Mia, it was so fun to hear the little girls count. They would count to 11 or 12 and then they’d get lost and jump to eighteen or twelveteen or mumble a little and then finish off with 8,9,10… here I come!!

BYU’s come back the other night was amazing! Rose love’s to be tickled on the tummy – she is chubby and cuddly these days. Packer was playing Zombies and wanted me to guess witch part he was playing, i had no clue and guessed randomly. He quickly explained to me that i was wrong and i should know because of the background music – He is more than obsessed. Packer threw up during the night so he is home from school today. Benji just got his report card and is an excellent student!

Yesterday Ben came home for lunch and we were all in the kitchen and Rose accidentally fell down the stairs 🙁 Ben and I were both a little slow trying to catch her but after a little cry and lots of luvs she was ok. Not 10 minutes later Rose starts to fall down the stairs again so i lunged forward to grab her – i missed and barreled through our already suffering railing. I took out the remaining banister rails so now we have a new Saturday project. Cali spent the next hour telling me that we shouldn’tbreak the railing – thanks Sweetie!

Thats all the randomness for today – now it’s time for some BYU basketball! hoping for a miracle win…

    3 Weeks Already

Raymond is already 3 weeks old! for his 3 week present he gave me 6 straight hours of sleep last night! and it was the good hours – 12:30 to 6:30. He is just starting to look bigger to me, not so new born and not so fragile. He is getting over his cold and was actually awake and needing attention today. All pictures of him look the same… wrapped up, laying on the couch – I still think they are cute pictures.

Last Night was Raymonds 2 week mark…

    2 weeks

He weighed in at the Dr.s office at 8lbs 9oz and was 21.5 inches long.

    getting big

He finally lost his gross cord so he can be a clean baby now.

    his tummy seems huge here

He had his first spit ups – actually they would be in the throw ups category as it was LOTS of milk.

Ray often has his hands in his face like in this picture.

We cut his fingernails for the first time.

Rose is in bed and the boys are at school - Mom, Ray and Cali hanging out.

And he spent most of the day sleeping after giving so much blood at the Dr.’s office.
