Table Mountain
On Monday we hung out with Liz and her kids and Tracie and her high school friends. That evening we went up to Table Mountain for a picnic and hike for family night. Table Mountain is simply beautiful. Check it out:

On Sunday April 22nd we went to her blessing and spent the day with family in Murray? (i think)
After Cedars party we went straight to Amanda’s birthday party. No pictures of Amanda but Great Grandma Nettesheim was there and listened to the kids play in the corner. It was neat just having her there with us.
After church we had a bunch of family come over and we just spent the rest of the day visiting and eating and having a great family day.
I have a lot more family hanging out, spending the day together pictures but I was supposed to have pictures of Raymond posted yesterday for my mom so I am posting now and will post more later.
Rose is finally warming up to everyone - she used to roll her eyes and pretend not to look at you - now she begs to be thrown on the bean bag
Kelsey is 12 years younger than I am so she was only 6 yrs old when I left for College! I'm glad they come to college out here so I can see them.
More play time - Benji seems to be eluding my camera lately - he disappears when there are cousins to play with.
I love having so much family! that must be why I keep going through these pregnancies and adding to my own chaos. Family is my favorite!
This last Sunday was Rose’s first time going to Nursery! She technically still had 2 weeks until she is 18 months but our nursery leaders are WONDERFUL and they let her in, and let her cry for 20 minutes and then when they pulled out the bubbles she forgot about crying and had a great time at nursery. We will see how she does this Sunday. Raymond had his first full 3 hours of church and he slept threw the entire thing in his car seat.
PS – Rose even added the word “bubble” to her vocabulary! baby, mom, baba (bottle), more, please. This week she has been saying “sorry” to Cali a lot and she really tries to say the word. She also just started trying to say the kids names and started playing the “Rosie say… (pick a word)” game. She can also do the face game – show me your eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, nose, teeth, hair… and she tries to say each of those words! I’m excited. It makes a world of difference when a child can tell you what they want 🙂
Our Oroville trip: Monday – 7:00am leave PG – 4:30pm get to Oroville! Eat Dinner with EVERYONE and have our Robertson gift exchange and presents from and to my mom and dad! Josh and Mal were there but had to leave that evening. Christy and Rob had just gotten there and all of the singles were home (missing Ryans fam and Tracies fam).
picture taken later in the week BUT we did meet THOMAS JETT! you think we are ready for one this little!!!
Tuesday – games in the morning and Erica and her kids came to play with us! That afternoon we went to the Park for ultimate and football and pizza. That night mom made her Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and we played more games and watched BYU basketball.
Wednesday – all of the kids went to Kevin and Liz’s in the morning to play on their new swing set, We played more games at Gmas – TwinkleBear, Nertz, Dominion, Ticket, and Small World were some of the regulars. The Eggers left that afternoon and that evening my mom watched the kids so Ben and I could go to dinner with some Friends! and we played games before bed 🙂
I still hadn't unpacked my camera at this point in the trip - Angelee took this one of the girls at Righteous Burger.
Thursday – We went over to say bye to Than and Erica, played games, Brittney came over, I shopped with mom and then at 4:00 we left for the Kings game in Sacramento. We met up with Josh and Payton and the Eggers so we had 20 of us at the game and we all cheered for Jimmer. And again my mom stayed home and watched my kids! We got home late and watched the recorded byu basketball game before crashing.
Friday– the engine light in the van had come on so I took it to the shop, spark plug did the trick!, BYU football at 9am, Power wheels in the back yard, spaghetti and games.
Cruisin in the John Deers! We did this last year but this year we were in Grandpas's back yard and now these kids know how to DRIVE!
Saturday – play games! (yes, that is a daily occurence) 1:00 go to Hulas, run errands in Chico, 5:00 home, Ben to get treats, Lumpia!! games, nap, liars dice, New Years! Cousins taking turns throwing up.
we LOVE the Mongolian Barbeque - Shannon was shoing us that she has graduated into a true fill the bowl Hula's Girl! 🙂
Kevin and Liz - we love that these guys live right by the parents so we can spend lots of time with them when we visit.
Sunday – 9:00 church, games, pack, games, ham and potatoes, pack, play, chat:
during the last 2 hours of the trip Rose decided to be friendly finally! she loved the spinning chair!
Monday- 7:30 leave (already 8:30 Utah time), Nevada City = Speeding Ticket! ok – we were speeding but you were camped out 5 ft before the speed limit increases by 10 and we would have been fine – not cool. The most not cool part was that all of the kids were asleep – awoken abruptly by the police man 🙁 and Ben rolled down his window for the cop MOMENTARILY FORGETTING that our windows are broken! So we got a ticket, had 4 wide awake kids and then played freeze-out for the next 2 hours while we tried to crank on the window and get it all the way up!! not fun. Next time I’ll keep driving and mail you the 300$! From there we only stopped in Lovelock and then Wendover at 4:00, grabbed Mcdonalds for tha too many-eth time that month. Another successful 11 hour trip!
headed home! DVD player(check), PSP(check), Tablet(check), Laptop(check), MP3 player(check), Dads Phone(check), Moms Nook(check) and a few toys and snacks!
Now on to the pictures… what we’ve been doing in the last 2 weeks without our live in house mates to entertain us…
We are still obsessed with Plants Vs Zombies – the kids have spent hours playing with these cones. It’s one of those natural toys that I know I should go hide them back in the garage but they are played with daily by all of the kids so I keep leaving them out.
This is where I found Cali on a Sunday night after I had sent her up to get her pajamas on. When you zoom out you will see that she took off her church clothes, pulled out her jammies, removed her diaper and then somehow ended up asleep in the nude, in the closet. This is not a normal occurrence – she and Rose both got thrush under their tongues from the amoxicillin so they didn’t eat while we waited for it to go away = hungry, grumpy, tired girls for a few days.
Rose has found her voice and is constantly yelling and grunting and trying to get us to read her mind and do what SHE WANTS. The girls finally got over their tongue issues and that same night Packer claimed that his tongue was hurting. He had not been on antibiotics so I knew it couldn’t be the same thing that Cali and Rose had but he was worse off than the girls. He stopped Eating and Drinking Completely and then he stopped talking because it hurt to open his mouth. I finally took him to the Dr and he was diagnosed with canker sores – yep, regular old canker sores right on the tip of his tongue so we just had to wait it out again. We forced him to eat and drink enough to keep his energy up but he was out for almost a week.
Every November we get to clean up the leaves from our massive tree. We usually pick a night and invite some cousins over and have a big leaf jumping party BUT this year we were heading out of town on Friday and our ward was doing a pickup that Saturday morning so we had to do a quick Friday afternoon clean up. Packer and Cali still got to enjoy the leaves but Benji actually cried when he realized that he would not be leaf jumping this year.
I did not do any leaf jumping this year. I was exhausted after doing my part of the raking. Baby number 5, or Clyde as we have been calling him, is due to be born in 3 months from this day. I feel like that is still far away but it is also coming fast. After Benji got home from school on Friday we loaded up the Dodge Grand Caravan and headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon to spend the night at a cabin with the Nettesheim Cousins!! It has become tradition to kick off the holiday season with family and plan our Christmas Traditions and just enjoy each others company. This year we stayed at Bear Trap and it was AWESOME! I have a few pictures from that so I think I’ll post those separately.
We had our weekly Robertson Family Sunday Dinner… Marlee was excited to play with Rosie, she carries her around and takes her wherever she goes. She and Rose are buddies. We ate Pizza and actually got a few games in after the 49er game (can’t believe they are having a killer season). Than and Sam Hancock stopped by so that was fun and My siblings were being crazy and wouldn’t go home until after midnight – I kept telling then that this pregnant sister can’t stay up all night but they didn’t care 🙂 Â and… Benji was up all night throwing up. The first one was bad and it was dark so he missed the toilet but after that he was a perfect sick guy. He counted 6 times that he threw up, a few of those he handled completely on his own. We kept him home from school on Monday but he felt fine all day and just played with his siblings. In fact everyone was full of energy so we headed to the park for the afternoon.
Monday night we invited Ben’s parents over to watch the Green Bay Packers beat up the Vikings. The Packers are amazing this year and it was fun to watch with Grandma and Grandpa and eat some Pumpkin Pie at halftime. I love November just for the pumpkin Pie! Today is a good, normal Tuesday. We are healthy. I went on my morning walk. Ben is working. The boys had school. The Girls had cousins over to play and I am finally blogging 🙂 “Vacation” is over and now I think the hangover from the 4 month “vacation” is also over 🙂
She Can Stand Up Now - only about 20 seconds on her own but she is definitely in stand up mode.
Cali wanted to invite Anna and Mia over to play. When I signed Packer up for afternoon preschool I was thinking that would be the perfect nap time for the girls BUT Rose takes 2 naps still and is never napping when Packer has school. So it has turned in to Cali’s play time. She often gets to play with her cousins for those hours during the week and they seem to love it.
everyone racing to the top of the slides
The kids didn’t have school yesterday or today and they are loving it. We are just taking it easy at home for the break but the kids are all playing hard. Yesterday I took them to the park in the afternoon for a couple of hours and they had a blast…
This weather has been awesome. It is perfectly warm and cool at the same time!
