    Another Fun Weekend

College is back in session so my parents came for the weekend to bring my 3 youngest siblings out to school. It’s always a blast when they are here. We shopped and visited, ate and played lots of games.

mom and kelsey working up the chicken and potato dinner

dad playing solitaire while he waits for some Nertz to start

The only other picture I have that proves my parents were here is this one when Cali got a hold of the camera again.

    me and my dad 🙂

look who needed their picture taken!

Cali looks older every day lately. She no longer wants any help on her prayers and she is always talking like she knows everything. Once we start potty training and put away the sippy cups I’m afraid we’ll have a big girl on our hands.

AND look who is crawling all over the house….

of course she heads right for the kitchen every time

I love this picture cause she knew I had the camera and was smiling big for me

Rose has a fever today. It looks like she’s trying to get all of her top teeth at once. She got her top left last Sunday and then yesterday and today she is cutting the other middle and left side. It must be hard work cause she is grumpy and tired and burning up. It does make her extra snuggly so I am enjoying our snuggle time. Benji should be home from school any minute. Packer is off at preschool again today. I’ll go pick him up shortly.

Ready for school on thursday - the preschool boys decided to wear their new jerseys

And back to that fun weekend… I snapped a shot of our score paper. We played a bit of Rook, Nertz, Hand and Foot, O’shucks and Ticket. We also fit in some Nettesheim time for baby Ellie’s blessing. It was busy and fun and Shannon is staying for the nex 2 weeks so the fun continues.

    Last Week

We had another busy week. Monday and Tuesday were recovery days from Robertson Reunion and then I had to hurry and get everything in order for Erica and kids on Wednesday evening. We played hard with the Hancock’s for the rest of the week and weekend. I did not use my camera much so I a hoping that Erica did. Here are the few pictures that I do have to document the week.

FREE DRINKS - Thursday was free soda at the PG gas station so we ALL took advantage of that.

Thursday was also Kylee's birthday - 9 years old!

Ryan's kids were here all week and Erica and kids - All 12 just played GREAT together.

Packer reminding me why I don't like kids with gum and yes he needs a hair cut.

the cute little girls playing in the hose!

The big kids back from their bike ride ready to cool off.

We spent Thursday at the park and the pond and Saturday at home playing hard. We chased Gentry all over the house while Rose stayed put. Erica, LaNell and I stayed up too late and it was just fun to hang with good friends.

Monday was another recovery, catch up on tired cranky kids day.

Taylee did Cali's hair today - Cali was SOO excited to show me.

These Two are in a love/hate relationship - today they HAD to wear dresses and comb their hair the same!

Robertson’s have always been campers. It is a lot of work but when you have this many people it gives you lots of room and it is affordable. I love that we can all be in the same general space and enjoy every ones company.

We just had our Robertson yearly get together! and all 12 of the Robertson kids were able to make it!! The Parents obviously wouldn’t miss that, and 5 of the 6 in-laws made it, and 18 of 19 grand kids! It was awesome to have so much of the family together and awesome to have them all stay at our house for 3 of the days!

    Tom and Annette Robertson Family

Since the get together was here in Utah I got to do most of the planning. I enjoyed planning it all out and I was pleased to see the week turn out really well. We have thousands of pictures thanks to our eldest sister and her new camera so I am thinking this will be a documenting post and if I am ambitious I will follow with pictures as I find time.

On Monday we all made our way to Payson Lakes. A lot of the group was coming all the way from Oroville but they left early so that they would have time to set up camp and enjoy the evening. Ryan and Ben and I packed up all of the food and extras and got there around 4pm. Joel, Brady and Sean beat us there so we got to see Sean right when we got to camp – he looks awesome and was so much fun to be around. It’s really neat being around a new returned missionary. Everyone else arrived within the next hour or two and we set up our camp. I must document that we stayed in Group site C and it was perfect for our family – we could be loud and had no neighbors, no cars coming or going because we were at the end of a road, lots of exploring for the kids, plenty of tables, bathrooms close by and everything else we needed for a fun camp out.

Tuesday: we hiked to a waterfall in the morning and then spent the afternoon at the lake swimming, kayaking, fishing, getting muddy, playing frisbee and visiting. We finished the day with dinner and a late night around the campfire.

Wednesday: a slow morning in camp, packed everything up just before the rain started. We cancelled our afternoon plans because of the rain and checked into the Ben and Jana hotel a little early. Our grand parents came over for dinner, some went to jump on it and we played games until late.

Thursday: 7 Peaks! We got there when it opened and stayed all day. It was fun to have so many of us there. Everyone helped with kids so we all were able to ride tons of slides. A bunch of our cousins met us there and we just played hard all day. That night was Pizza and games.

Friday was our last day so we packed everything in. We took some family pictures and then we set up the giant slip n slide at the park. Then we needed Kong Cones before heading to Rock Canyon park where we had a BBQ, played soccer and ultimate, did lots more visiting and finished the night with Yorbing.

It was really fun to be with my parents and all of my siblings – the last time was for a couple of hours after our Hawaii trip in 2006 so it was over due. And to all of the crazy in-laws that agreed to be part of this family- thanks for contributing to the craziness and awesomeness 🙂 actually now that I say that it is usually the in-laws that actually contribute anything beyond smack talk (that part the Robertson’s do well). WE HAD A GREAT WEEK WITH FAMILY.

slip n slide, weekend fun and other updates

    hammock time

We spent a Friday evening at Matt and Jamie’s sitting around the fire pit and making smore’s and laying in the hammock with cousins.

ROSE loves Food - this morning she ate an entire orange! and She LOVED it.

Ryan had a few days off this week and he finished framing, installed plumbing and hooked up the electrical for our bathroom/laundry room!! I’d like to say that I helped alot but mostly I just ran to Ace or Home Depot and got things we neeed when Ryan needed them. Anyone want to come do the sheet rock? that’s the next step.

    Ryan at work

On Friday Ben had the day off so we went up to the park with Ryan and Tara and their kids. We set up a slip n slide and brought a picnic lunch and had a blast. Here is the proof…

    Packer - love the smile

    Taylee could cruise down!

    Kylee flying past Cali.

Benji trying to get some speed - he got braver and faster each time.

I like this one with Brinlee and Cali at the bottom. Brinlee LOVED the slide.

I took some fun video but I’m still not video savvy on my blog so you’ll have to take my word for how much fun it was and just imagine Ryan and Ben and I flying down and doing amazing tricks 🙂

    lunch time

Friday evening Ben and I watched the last Harry Potter and ate at The Harvest at Thanksgiving Point. He actually received an award at work and part of the award was the day off of work and an evening out all expenses paid! So we enjoyed an evening with no kids and the next morning we took the motorcycle up the American Fork Canyon for a scenic ride. It was fun but we will need to upgrade the motorcycle before I go any further than that 🙂

    21 miles into AF Canyon

Saturday evening we went out for Udine’s birthday. We had sandwiches at the Thanksgiving Point Cafe before watching Captain America (I know, 2 movies in 2 nights – both at the  theater with NO kids! Can’t remember ever doing that – We were spoiled this weekend and it was awesome.) As tradition goes we grabbed shakes at JCW’s and then we came home and met up with cousins at Udine’s house for fireworks to celebrate the 24th!! Now it is Sunday… calm and relaxing. We are enjoying our down time. Summer is flying by – I really wouldn’t mind if it slowed down a little…

    Remember that…

Remember that… breakfast that I blogged about last week? that one where my brother was making it and I was excited – well he made it and…

    the forgotten biscuits

luckily this picture is just of the biscuits that were an after thought to the yummy spanish potato omelette that I had already filled up on. He wanted me to try the omelette that the ladies used to make for him on the mission and it was yummy and filling. Then we started a game and left the biscuits in just a little too long.

Remember that… day we went to the Mona rope swing? oh yeah that was just this past Monday and it was a lot of fun. I had my 4 kids and Ryan had his 4 kids and Brady brought 2 friends. We grabbed some snacks and played at the rope for a few hours. It wasn’t kid friendly for swimming but they loved climbing the trees.

Brady got tangled in the rope and about ripped his arm off on his first swing.

The main platform. Benj and Pack just wanted to sit up there.

Packer and his cousins doing a little swimming.

Rose had a real picnic getting her hands on any snacks she could... and I took a lot of video so I don't have any good pictures of actually swinging.

Remember that… unfinished Laundry room in my house? well Ryan jumped in and started framing it this week! I am excited to get it all finished down there.

Here's what we have to work with after getting all of our storage stuff out of there.

Remember that… day back in February when I opened that Jewelry box and found a coupon for a soccer team inside?! that was awesome and we just finished that soccer team/league and we LOVED it! We dominated during regular play and lost one game in the tournament so LaNell talked them into giving us the champion shirts! I’m sad it is over but I am still on a women’s team so I won’t complain.

Our last Game - we had to play without Michelle but she should be in this picture.

Remember that… Brother I have that is on a mission? He comes home in 11 days! I can’t believe how fast that 2 years went. Sean and all of my siblings, parents and most of their families are coming out here in August – I AM EXCITED.

Remember that… week that my Brother Ryan and his kids were at my house and I volunteered to help Michelle and Udine with their kids? that was this week and it has been crazy. We have played with cousins non stop, had more cousins over, gone to movie day at the other cousins and just been non stop going. I am tired. But we fit in dinner out at red Robin last night, my brother Josh slept over on Tuesday night, and we played lots of Dominion and games to keep us all sane 🙂 and now Ryan’s kids are off to St. George and Udine picks his kids up in the next hour or two and all will be too quiet and Benji will beg for cousins! 🙂

    Mia and Cali

Brinlee and Cali - - if these 2/3 year olds are happy then we can all be happy.

    We’re back in Business!

Yes, my blog was down for a few days, really just 2 days but you know how when you can’t do something it makes you really want to do it? That’s how I’ve felt being blog-less. So now that I can log in again I MUST BLOG 🙂

    Red Dragons
Soccer season has come and gone once again. Benji was on the Red Dragons with a lot of the same kids from last year. Ben was the coach again this year and he did  a great job. Most of the kids like practice more than the games because they play tons  of fun things… now Ben is wondering if that is why they aren’t winning as many games. So Benji kicked the ball 15 times in his last game. We know this number because he was promised one gummy bear for every kick so we were all counting. He is still trying to find his soccer abilities but for now he enjoys it and is signed up to do it again next year, with his dad. We had an end of the year practice party on Wednesday.

    Posing with Coach

    Posing with Cousin Julia

The whole Team (except the twins) Annie, Connor, Allie, Maddy, Julia, Austin, Benji, Ben

AND… I am so glad we went to 6 Flags last Friday. It has been a full week but it’s still fresh in our minds. Our kids really did just love it and we know this because they are still talking about it, looking at the map of it and telling everyone about the rides. I got pictures from Ben’s phone so here is the 6 Flags wrap up…

Cali and Jana on the swings.

Benji and Camry on the swings, Maddy and Lilly in front.

    self portrait

These 6 were the perfect age and height - - Camry, Lilly, Maddy, Benji, Pacen, and Jaydn

yes, I had Cali on my hip half of the day. Luckily Rose was a little angel and we had lots of helpers.

    All My Children

we rode kid rides all day cause we all had lots of kids but I went on these balloons with Kevin and we spun so fast - it was fun. I don't know how his daughter survived being in there with us. Packer went on a similar ride with him and literally passed out!

a bunch of our crew heading to the shark house.

Uncle Michael making the stroller ride more fun than the real rides.

The Clapping Walrus was pretty intense.

Maddy, Benji, Pacen and Camry on the mini roller coaster - - we thought Benji would be wimpy but he wasn't at all - he went on every ride that he was able to.

I feel more theme parks in our future. Benji was the perfect age this time and Packer and Cali really loved the little rides. 25$ well spent.

Today I am home nursing a sprained ankle 🙁 boo0. I stepped on it wrong in my game last night and this morning I can barely walk. Hopefully I can get over it quickly. Is RICE still the healing method or has it changed in the last 10 years that I haven’t had a sprain?

    A week in California!
We left the on a beautiful 80 degree Sunday after church and drove across Nevada and into California. I was very annoyed when it was snowing in Wells and then required chains over Donner Pass – IS THIS NOT MAY?! I was bugged because I had just had our snow tires taken off of the van the week before. We do have all wheel drive on the van and we made our way to the checkpoint and went on through without chains. We LOVE having all wheel drive. It did slow us down a good hour and a half but we got to my parents home in Oroville at Midnight.
On Monday we got to play with my sister-in-law Liz and her kids. I went to Yogurts with my mom for lunch and that night we ALL went over to Chico for a womens over 30 indoor soccer game – It was an AWESOME game with some GREAT players – -, Liz is on a team with our friend Tiffany and they let me play with them :), we tied 7 to 7. And then we went to McDonalds to let the kids run around and eat a late dinner. Benji said it was THE BEST McDonalds EVER – it had a play place AND VIDEO GAMES!! We put kids to bed and played NERTZ with Mom, Dad, Michael, Shannon and Kelsey.

Hide and Go Seek: Maddy, Packer and Lilly

Video Games: Benji and Jaydn they did play other things as well like creating the break dance club, this is just what they happened to be doing when I remembered I didn't have any pictures yet.

On Tuesday I took the kids down to visit my mom at the office and pick out prizes, Benji looks forward to this every visit now. Then we came back home at lunchtime for a get together with some of my bestest friends :), Angelee and Katie and Raeanne and Liz and I grabbed Taco Tuesday for lunch and hung out at my parents house while the kids,13 of them, ran around playing. It was tons of fun to catch up with everyone. That evening we stayed for dinner and brownies with the family and then we left at 8pm and headed for San Francisco. I dropped Ben off at the Hilton for his work conference and then I drove to Walnut Creek to Erica’s house. The kids were exhausted and asleep, we transferred them from the car and crashed for the night.

My Friends! Me, Katie, Angelee, Liz and Raeanne

Our 2 Year Olds! Cali (Dec), Ella (Jan), Charlee (Mar), Lacie (May)

Wednesday the kids woke up to play with their long lost friends 🙂 Erica’s sister Emily came over and Erica was babysitting for a friend so we had a busy morning. Then Erica made me salsa and Guac and I ate chips the rest of the afternoon. My Sister-in-law Mal came over around 3:30 with her 2 kids and we played and ate dinner and got ready to go to the A’s game. We drove down to the game and met up with Ben and my brother Josh at the BART station and then met up with my sister Christy and Rob and three of their boys. So we had a super fun time in the 2$ seats with the sun in our eyes and kids all over our laps. I love that everyone made the effort to come and I got to spend that time with family and friends. Erica came with her 4 kids and no husband – she really is amazing and a little crazy but she pulled it off as well as any of us did. We got home late again – put the kids in bed and crashed.

Most of the A's Game crew.

The Eggers helping with baby Rose

It was fun to meet up with Ben instead of being apart for the conference

    Mal and her babies

    still best buds

    Erica being super mom.

Thursday we finally got to play Boggle and it was fun even though I lost. The kids just played and played. We went to the park for a little bit and Erica spoiled them with the icecream truck. I went and picked Ben up from the BART station because he was done with his work conference (the reason that we got to take this trip was because he was going to the San Fran conference) and then we ate some yummy Erica food, enchiladas and salad. And put the kids to bed so that they wouldn’t be too grumpy for Friday.

    Rose loved the Jumperoo (?)

and Rose and Gentry were SOO cute together.

    Yummy Over Priced Popscicles 🙂

Packer picked the coolest ice cream!

Friday was so much fun. We took the kids to Six Flags Animal Kingdom in Vallejo and it was just perfect for our kids. They had tons of kid rides that were just right. And we got to see Shouka’s whale show, the dolphin show and Elephant show. Plus they have Giraffes and Tigers, sharks and a walrus… the kids LOVED the animals and LOVED the rides. They seemed to be the perfect age and just loved every minute that we were there. Benji said it was ” The Best Day Ever”. That made it so worth it. It was extra fun because we had the Hancock’s with us and a bunch of my family was able to come. Kevin and Liz brought their 4 kids and my parents, Michael, Shannon and Kelsey all came!! It was FUN. That night Than was finally home so we ate pizza and let the kids watch a movie until late and just hung out.

Cali and Claira - ready for Six Flags

Benji and Ben - 1st roller coaster

drink break cause we're too little for this ride.

On Saturday we drove home – NOT SO FUN, but a necessary part of travel and we made it in a timely manner so I will not complain. Today was a good Sunday. It is good to be home. Rose has a little cold and is fussy. Cali loved being back in the new playroom. Packer and Benji were excited to get the computer set up downstairs FINALLY. We had Joel and Brady and T-Money over for dinner and dominion. Good Times. I must still be on California time cause it is way too late to be blogging but here I am … and IT IS WAY TO LATE… perhaps this will be continued tomorrow. Good Night.

    Dad in Town

My Dad came and stayed with us Tuesday afternoon until Thursday afternoon. It was really fun to have him all to ourselves. We got the Hot Tub tuned up! and we fixed my kitchen faucet (don’t ask me why I let it leak for two years – I don’t know) But I LOVE that it is fixed and that it is no longer a problem area in my kitchen. We played ROOK both nights – love that game and love that Dad taught us when we were kids and we all still love to play. We tried the Lotus Garden in Provo last night with Joel and Brady and Dan Brown – we were trying to find a decent Mongolian Barbecue – it was decent but no HULAS.

Cali is sick. She has been throwing up about every hour or 2 all afternoon 🙁

    Family In Town

This passed week I got to spend time with my parents and 7 of my 11 siblings! My parents and Michael came out for my brother Ryan’s graduation from the police academy. Shannon finished another year at BYUI! (her 3rd) Tracie flew in from Alaska to support Ryman and be with the fam. So, they all came Sunday night when we got home from St. George. Joel, Brady and Kelsey all go to school out here and were all finishing up their semesters. The week went too fast just like always… On Monday night we had a family get together with my mom’s side of the family. We ended the night with a cousins soccer game – and I’m not talking about my kids, it was Ben and I and all the siblings I mentioned and my cousins Bracken, Colby, and Jeremy. We played barefoot and all came home with bruised and/or blistered feet. The next day we were all hobbling around at the graduation 🙂 Tuesday we spent at Ryan’s graduation and we ate out at the Olive Garden. And that night we lost most of the group – Dad, Mike, Tracie and Ryan’s family all had to leave. My Mom and Shannon stayed until Friday morning. We played Nertz and Rook and learned how to make duct tape bows. We let mom cook for us and went out for ice cream. My dad fixed my hot tub (really I just had the valve closed instead of open! lame), so we’ve been swimming. To end I just need to thank the little white car that flashed its lights at me to let me know about the cop on 600 West, my mom had never heard of the flash your lights communication so I was telling her about it as we putted down the road at 25mph and sure enough mr police man was there waiting. Now Easter and Packers Birthday and all this with half of a house… hopefully a post very soon will be of my new carpet downstairs and no more signs of the flood.

    Packer Using the Tree

OK if you made it to the end then you get to hear about Packer Peeing. I am glad that this was the week before he turned 4 because it just seems more OK if it was a 3 year old. So we are taking pictures after graduation and we look over and Packer is tagging the tree RIGHT IN FRONT of the entire graduation crowd. He has been taught to go out away from people IF he needs to go, I guess I haven’t Stressed the part about ONLY IF THERE IS NOT A RESTROOM NEAR BY or IN A PUBLIC PLACE! So there he was this cute little boy peeing on the tree not more than 5 feet away. We all got a good laugh and he got a good talking to.
