Saturday is a special day… it’s the last day of the year. WE PLAYED SO MANY GAMES and we prepared for the evening festivities.
I made it most of the day but then I crashed. The stomach ache kicked in and I went to bed before dinner. I never threw up but I couldn’t enjoy being up. EVERYONE ELSE seemed to have a fun NEW YEARS!!
The barfs caught up to us. Everyone had been taking there turn with the one day bug… Millie and Ray and Rose 🙁 I was up every 20 minutes helping someone throw up and clean up. . . . But they felt fine in the morning and we carried on! Shopping, lunch, movie and games.

Everyone decided to RISK it and go to moms! Eggers and Shae and Braden, Michael, Ryan, Us, Joel, Tracie, Brady, Shannon, Sean and Kelsey – waiting for Kevin and Josh!
We drove to Sacramento on the 26th! We thought we were heading to moms but they had been sick the days before and Shannon and Kelsey were still getting over it. So we went straight to Ryan and Renae’s house 🙂
And we got to meet sweet baby Maeve Mata! It was fun to see their new place and spend some time with Ryans family!
We had all of the Robertson Extended over for a fun night of snacks and white elephant, trivia and visiting! Diane, Susan – Jennie, Gerald, Emily, Jospehine, Travis. Russ and Karen, Scott, Danny, Alex, Megan and Matt!, Us, Joel, Sean, Shan, Kel! EVERYONE tries to come and it is so fun to see these cousins and aunts and uncles that we don’t get to see much.
EVERYONE CAME FOR THE PARTY!!! It was on Sunday evening. Aunt Di, Wayne, Sasha and Steve and their kids! Bracken and kids, Aunt Carol, Luke, Jer and Kali, Alex and Megan and Jade and the puppy! My fam, Joel fam, Shannon, Sean Fam, and Kelsey. And Bryce, Braden and Jacqi! We had dinner and then the classic White Elephant Exchange!

I coached Cali’s FIRST basketball game! She did great and has a fun team! Brady and Sam and Kelsey came too.
That night I got to go out with the neighborhood Ladies – Kristin Drake planned a Soul Sisters dinner for all of us in Midway – dinner at the snow globe restaurants and shared our favorite quotes. Sarah Familia and Michelle Kramer were the only two not in our ward and I know them pretty well so it was a super fun night. Kristin is so loving and giving and kind and inclusive.
We babysat Sean’s kids. And we had our ward party! We did some activities and crafts and had a nice dinner. Then a program – Benji got to be Joseph Smith! and then Bishop was sick so Ben got to speak to the ward with an uplifting Christmas message and testimony. He does a good job on the fly like that!
