more Tetherball
These two are a pretty good match! Rose vs. Ray. I love that they are out there hitting that ball. Rose does usually win.

It still takes way to long to get all of the kids ready to go.
Rose cannot get enough of this snow! She is living in her snow clothes. Even if no one else wants to go out with her!
trying to sled 🙂
On Friday January 8th her older cousin Payton was here during a school day so she and Ray went out in the snow with him for a few hours:
It’s been a cold winter but Rose is making the most of it.
I never go to Discovery park because it is not restful. There are lots of people and lots of places to lose a 2 year old. But look at these SMILES. They loved it!!
Rose is already 5!! My little Rosie! It’s crazy. She is a cute cute little 5 year old. So smart and fun and advanced and determined. She is not needy. She loves lots of different things and keeps super busy. She does everything the big kids do and then she rules the nest while they are at school. She loves burritos and gogurts and meat and cheese sandwiches with mayo.
Rose kept busy all day with Palace Pets and Princess Play doh and Coloring and just being special. We had a party with her cousins the next night.
Rose just missed the cut off for Kindergarten this year 🙁 but we are doing Upstart preschool and she is liking it so far. She can already recognize 21 letters of the alphabet!
We went out for donuts after her training meeting on Saturday. She is so excited to learn and be a big kid.
Ben gave the kids a summer challenge to dribble the soccer ball around the perimeter of the house 30 times a day and if they did 30 days they would earn a reward. The kids were diligent and did make their goal! They whined and complained a good deal but I think they’re better for it. For their reward Ben took them to the outdoor theater to see the Minion Movie.
I chose to stay home with Millie and Tiago. Millie always enjoys being the only one home and getting the extra attention.
This baby is so much fun. He is good but likes to be held. He LOVES to eat, all of the time! He loves to sleep close to me. He still doesn’t have a lot of awake time or a schedule but he seems to be content when we are out and about and in the car so that is encouraging. MOSTLY he is just super cute and we all enjoy snuggling with him:
Millie has stopped ignoring him. Now she can’t leave him alone. Always brings him his blanket and pacifier and is fascinated when I feed him. If she would understand the word SOFT then she would be a pretty good sister and helper but in the mean time i find myself constantly telling her to be soft and get away and don’t touch him and…
I could do a Rosie post as well. She loves to hold Tiago and tries to be a big helper.
These pictures are all almost a month old now but that’s what happens when you have a new born and go on vacation….
We went and toured the Payson Temple! We tried to get tickets and couldn’t and then some afternoon tickets became available so I grabbed them and we went! and it was great. Ben had to work BUT Jamie offered to take Millie so… I took the 5 other kids and we had a really good afternoon at the temple. It was neat to let the kids see the temple and to watch their expressions. Their little legs were hurting and Rose had blisters by the end but otherwise it was wonderful. I love the temple. I love that my girls bust out in the temple song when we drive by. I’m so glad we made the time to go to this open house.
The Prophet talked about temples in General Conference last month and I loved it:
“My brothers and sisters, in our lives we will have temptations; we will have trials and challenges. As we go to the temple, as we remember the covenants we make there, we will be better able to overcome those temptations and to bear our trials. In the temple we can find peace.
The blessings of the temple are priceless. … May our Heavenly Father bless us that we may have the spirit of temple worship, that we may be obedient to His commandments, and that we may follow carefully the steps of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” Thomas S. Monson (April, 2015)
