Let the Soccer Practices BEGIN! Ben coaches Benji on Mondays, Tiago on Tuesdays, Ray on Wednesdays, and Rose on Thursdays. I coach Millie on Tuesdays. Cali usually has practices on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Let the crazy soccer months begin – September and October!
Our anni was on a Sunday and we spent the day and the days surrounding it with Rick and fam so it was low key but WE STILL LOVE EACH OTHER 🙂 In fact, we get better and better with time. We really have grown together and life is great!
I was fine with the simpleness but Ben couldn’t let it be simple (winking face) I got flowers later that week and a board game that I’ve been wanting! and then a few weeks later I got some nice ear buds!
Thursday we took some chill time in the morning and then we went to the park to play some trashball! After that we went to the lake to cool off!
After dinner that night the Hughes’ came to visit. Carrie and her kids and Kristin and Don and Carolyn. It was really nice to catch up with Carrie after all of these years!!
And then Ben beat Ryan in the Tecmo Football Tournament!
To our favorite Dad out there! We had muffins adn Cmilk for Breakfast and the kids made him a puzzle card! He got a new SNES Controller and a PONG game! We had a good church meeting and had a Zoom Meeting with Dad Netty. I snuck in a call with my dad and Then we ate a full TURKEY DINNER!
Ben is SOO good with these kids. They all adore him. They have it so good!
Ben and I had to make a few adjustments to our parenting but nothing to crazy. It was nice to have a little flexibility to our mornings. It was nice to be able to go up to our bedroom office and chat when we wanted. It was fun to have Ben come down for lunch or snack breaks.
Ben enjoyed working from home. Not travelling. Going for a lunch time run. Seeing the kids throughout the day and always being home before dinner.
I loved having Ben around and watching him work when I needed to break away from the kids. I liked walking with friends and riding my bike in the morning. With everything being cancelled I had some flexibility for when I wanted to do things. I liked that dinner time was more consistent and not rushed. I had time to cook and we were all home together every night. We had lots of fun movie and game nights. And no – I don’t wear glasses, yet.

Ben’s birthday was Saturday. We stayed home and had a chill day just doing what we/he wanted to do!

Nerf Gun Party Games
Swimming, hot tub, trying to put up the hammock, visiting with Rick and Kris and getting sun burns! We had Jimmy Johns Deliver for LINNER!
And then we chilled at night. We watched a movie and ate cake and ice cream and crashed! We all love celebrating Ben – he is the life of the party around here!
