BENJI the BABYSITTER!

I am SOOO EXCITED! We went to the RSL game on Saturday night and BENJI! babysat for us! from 7-10:30! He got all of the kids in bed and everything was perfect. Do you know what this means!!!!

We took Tiago to the game to make sure that it would be a good experience and it was! He did awesome babysitting and it was an awesome RSL game – they pulled off the win against the top ranked team in their division! Shannon and Kelsey were pretty fun too 🙂

This summer was the turning point for me. I was able to leave some or all of the kids with Benji for short amounts of time. I felt like I had so much FREEDOM 🙂 I often went to the grocery store during nap time. once I took the girls shopping. I even got my tires rotated and oil changed on time!! It’s a whole new world. But now he’s back in school 🙁

11 Yr. Old Commitment Hike!

Benji got to go on a Commitment Hike! It was a stake activity. They committed to get their Eagle, earn their Duty to God, go to Seminary, serve a Mission!! Big commitments for these young men! He said he had a ton of fun and lots of his friends were there. They spent the night in the Canyon with their Dads and came home after breakfast.

Rose and Dad

Rose got to go to a play with Ben. They went and watched Beauty and the Beast in Lehi. One of Ben’s coworkers was the Beast. Rose LOVED it.

She wore her Belle dress and carried around her light up rose all day. Everyone watched Beauty and the Beast and danced to the Sound track. Definitely a successful Dad Night!

boys night

the boys missed the ward Father and Sons camp out so they had their own outing. First they went to the movie Grille where they were the only ones in the theater at 5:00. They watched Jungle Book and ordered Dinner!

After the movie they headed to Flynns Retro arcade! They spent the rest of the night playing old video games until the place closed at 11pm.

Benji got the high score on Mario Bros.!! He got a free drink! (and that’s why we have arcades in our living room)

They went to a Hotel for the night. Then hit Kneaders french Toast for breakfast on their way home.

Ben and Jana! 13 years

We just celebrated 13 years of marriage! It really has been great. We let Michelle wrestle our kids all day so we could party. We spent lots of hours furniture shopping and then didn’t buy the couch. We went to Cubby’s for dinner and we watched Star Trek. It was the perfect day date even though we didn’t get to float the river 🙂

On Friday August 5th we went out with a group of my high school besties! and listened to our favorite 1997 BYU band!! and to Ben’s weird Aquabats. It was fun to see the band and hang with Rob and Raeanne and be in a mosh pit again. Hard to believe it was 20 years ago that we were jamming to My Man Friday every other weekend on campus. Super fun date night!

Stadium of Tim and Fire!

We got to go to the Stadium of Fire this year!! Than and Erica invited us to go with them and Ben and I had so much fun. We were up close in the first 15 rows. We sang along to almost ALL of Tim McGraws songs. Super concert and Super Celebration of our country.

Father’s Day

THIS GUY IS A GREAT DAD. the kids just love him. me too. We had a good, chill Sunday and finished the day with dinner with Ben’s Dad and Mom and all of the Nettys. We tried to make it a special day with food he liked, and didn’t let him cook, and he slept in a little and we played games together.

Millie’s nursery teacher is trying to Brain Wash her out of being a PACKER fan!

It was a good Father’s Day and I got to talk to my dad that evening to complete the day. I am blessed with awesome Fathers in my life.

The End of Soccer Season

Soccer is over. We are saying goodbye to the Red Racers, the Nachos, Orange Crush and Purps. Ben coached all 4 teams and he did a great job. The kids just love him. Cali played a game in the rain. It rained for the entire hour and never stopped!Cali and Mia and Henry had a blast this year.

Rose scored in all of her games this season 🙂 She hadn’t scored in the last game and it was her last chance so she went out there and chased that ball and kept at it until she got the GOAL!!!!!

Packer was on the Orange Crush. He didn’t get a goal this season but he had fun. I missed a lot of his games because of naps and weather 🙁

and Benji missed his last game because we were all sick 🙁 He had a good season though: Cannon, Austin, Holden, Brandt, Conor, Colby, Gabe, Kael, Abe, Haydn, and Jacob.

Now we will enjoy our 3 month break and then start up again 🙂

Benjamin’s 41st Birthday

Ben had a birthday!

We went shopping on Thursday! and we went to the movie on Friday night with the Nettys! Captain America Civil War! Carter, Lily and Diego all have birthdays the first part of May like Ben 🙂 Tons of fun.
