On Friday October 14th we had breakfast in the motorhome and got showered and then drove the yellowstone loop and stopped whenever Than found something cool to look at! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERICA!

And then to some prismatic springs, geysers and craters. I remember seeing this as a kid so it was neat to be back with my kids.

Waterfalls and other INTERESTING stuff in Yellowstone:

At this point it is 6pm: We have been living off of microwavable motorhome food since Wednesday night and it is Friday night and going out to Dinner for Erica’s bday was the perfect plan so we head out of Yellowstone and into town…. …. …. except we don’t! There are Bison in the road. Traffic is stopped. And we are stand still traffic for the next 3-4 hours! We offered the motorhome bathroom to strangers and made the most of it. By the time we get to West Yellowstone all of the restaurants were closed! So we ate more motorhome food and made smores and PARTIED! We drove thru Rexberg and down past Rigby to a church parking lot and slept for a few hours!

Then on Saturday morning Than cooked it home so some of us could make it to the BYU football game!! I had so much fun scrunched in the motorhome with these guys. We barely slept but it was so fun to be together and stop wherever and eat and pee on the go! I’m excited for the next one. (and it is 10:22 as i publish this post!)

Erica’s Birthday Wish was to take us on a trip in the motor home!!! So all 17 of us jumped in! We wanted to go north and see the Grand Tetons. So we drove into Wyoming and made it to the RV park at 1am. On Thursday we went to Grand Teton National Park and looked at the bison and we went and hiked around Jenny Lake to a waterfall. Then we decided to make it a Yellowstone trip so we booked it to Old Faithful geyser just in time for one of its last eruptions for the day!!

Pacen got his mission call to Tempe Arizona! He leaves Sept 19 – I can’t believe these kids are growing up so fast.
