    Rose and Gentry Bday Party!

Rose and Gentry invited all of their friends over and we PARTIED! They played games in the backyard and then opened presents and had cake and ice cream and we played Night Games at Manila!

They did this exact party last year and they loved it both times. Rose loves being with friends and loved playing outside. The glow sticks were fun and the weather was perfect. Present opening was crazy town and 20 4th grade girls was intense but AMAZING. Happy Birthday Rosie!

    4th of JULY!

Ben got the 3rd of July off, a Friday, so we took the kids and Mia and Luca to the Provo rec Center Pool! We swam and swam and the kids barely needed us! We did all of the slides and everyone had a blast. We stopped and ate at Culvers on the way home!

On Saturday I went on my 21 mile bike ride and then we ate breakfast and went over to the Hancocks. We played Pickleball with Than and Erica and then we had a Homerun Derby! Somehow we let Pacen win!!

We swam in the neighbors pool and then headed home around 3 to get ready for some Netty fun. Matt and Jamie decided not to come for the BBQ cause one of their cousins maybe had Covid?, then P&A also decided to come after dinner cause some family stopped by. So we had a delicious BBQ with the Falabella’s.

After dinner we headed over to Manila to have a Homerun Derby! We met up with the others and battled it out. Somehow I WON!!! I was smashing the homeruns 🙂

We also introduced everyone to Trashball! and played that until we had to hurry home for the fireworks! And singing to Julia and doing Sparklers!

Happy 4th of July. It’s been a controversial year but I am grateful to live in this land and I’m grateful for freedom.

    Road Biking

I had never ridden a road bike so LaNell and Erica and I went out for a ride. We went on a Friday afternoon and rode 15 miles out to Provo Canyon and then back. It was fun and beautiful!

Unfortunately I ended up with saddle sores! I used Pacen’s bike so I’m hoping that was my main problem. 2 weeks later I rode my hybrid bike – LaNell and I did 20 miles and I felt great.

May 1 – a soft opening! slow return to a few more essentials. We decided that that meant a bbq up the canyon with the Hancocks! The kids SMILED the entire time! They were so happy to be together. It was great.

We roasted hot dogs and had chili and water bottle guzzle challenges and string in our hair and Beckons Wanted!
