Cali GOT to go to school a day early and figure out how to do Jr High!
Packer and Benji spent the morning in the cul de sac trying to make waffles for breakfast:
and some people needed to clean out their backpacks from last school year and get them ready for the 1st day of school!
We did a youth conference on August 11th – it was 7am until 10 pm. They got up and did some yard work in the neighborhood and then had a big breakfast.
After breakfast they all headed up to Tibble Fork and played in the water and had lunch and played some games.
After being up the canyon everyone came home and showered and then headed over the the Frandsen, Cragun, Stott yard for Cafe Rio and campfire and volleyball and treats and games:

Ben and the kids had a REALLY good day!
Benji finally got signed up for the Range part of Drivers Training. He did the class during the summer and then right when school was starting he got the range part. He loved driving in a car by HIMSELF. He said that Dad gives him too much direction and Mom doesn’t give him enough instruction – But this was perfect.
Benji went and got his hair Cut by Caitlin – He’s looking Good!
On Tuesday the 29th we got up early and started our drive to Wisconsin – we went all the way to Lincoln Nebraska!
We gave Benji his birthday presents throughout the car drive! And we stopped for food and shakes that night!
On Wednesday we jumped back in the car and rolled all the way to Gurnee IL right by GREAT AMERICA. That night we had time to got to Golden Coral! and swim at the hotel pool!!
The boys got home and then we had 2 days before our big Wisconsin trip! And we were leaving on Benji’s birthday so we had to figure out when to celebrate him. We did his favorite dinner and cake and spanking train on Sunday!! He did not love his cake – I thought it was cool but he says he’s not excited to drive so he would have picked something else. I should have done a Rubix Cube but… such is life and we are all good.

On Monday we got all packed up and cleaned up and Benji had the entire Drama Club over for a big 80’s arcade party that evening!!
These guys hiked and biked and rafted and bore testimony and had a great Campout with the ward! Wednesday June 23rd thru Saturday June 26th.
Ben and I were out of town for the last soccer games this season. But we enjoyed a few week night games of Benji’s and we were able to get team pics the weekend before and the kids were able to go to their games with friends and family 🙂
Last Soccer Practices:
Benji had fun on his U19 team. I had fun coaching Millie’s team. And Ben rocked it with Rose, Ray and Tiago! So many SOCCER games!
Ray spent the last Soccer Saturday with Noah Drake
Ben and I went several times during the week and so much family came to support him! Friday May 14th was Closing Night! – It was great. Benji loved being in the play and loved being a part of something so good.
He has found his passion and has big dreams and high hopes for next year!
