    More Weekend Fun

Saturday we had Benji’s soccer game at 10am and then Ben and I had a game at 11:25. I need to mention the game because … I HAD THE WINNING GOAL!! (that doesn’t happen often so it needs to be documented!) We were down 5 to 1 in the game and our team slowly started coming back. Jay had an awesome PK to tie it at 5-5. David pulled a blue card but saved a goal so we played through that. They had a missed PK but did score on another so it was 5-6 them and with a minute left Meagan dribbles down the middle, someone is streaking the left, I’m on her right, David yells at me to go middle. I do. I get the pass and nailed the shot in the upper left corner! 37 seconds to go and girl goals are worth 2 points so we WIN 7 to 6!! ahhhhh. That was a good time to finally make a shot and maybe a good time to retire this pregnant body – or maybe I can finish out the last few games 🙂

After soccer we had plans to meet up with my brothers in Levan – so we packed up the family van and headed that way. We spent the afternoon and evening with Ryan and Tara and Joel. And the kids spent it with Ryan’s 4 kids playing like crazy. Bumper Pool, Dominion, Spades, Pizza, Rock Band, Joel’s Famous, Euchre, and Soda!! We stayed until 11:30pm before making ourselves leave. And I had to run and say goodbye to all of the women’s conferencers that night. I was trying to catch my sister in law but that didn’t happen, whatever Liz! 🙂

    Bumper Pool - I think I won!

    Hanging out with cousins

Cali trying to be big like Taylee, Marlee, and Brinlee.

The next morning was baby blessing Sunday. We miraculously made it to Christians blessing on time and headed over to Pete and Amanda’s that afternoon to eat, I mean to visit 🙂 My brother also blessed his baby Scarlett that morning in California, Brigette and Evan blessed Davis (see Womens Conf pic) and we had one blessed in our ward.

And that was ONE FUN WEEKEND!

    Little ME

This little girl is reminding me more and more of myself these days. She has a temper, she never leaves her blanket, she cheers for my sports teams, she climbs and plays and follows her brothers everywhere, and she has a good throwing arm.

This is HER blanket – she loves it!

I had to post more of these Cali pics because she’s just a cutie and I was told by my mom to post a picture as soon as I could get her hair in pig tails… She wore them to church yesterday for the first time. She looks so big and grown up all of A sudden. So this morning we got all ready and ran out to take a picture before getting Benji off to school and… her pigtails were already falling out and messed up – – ughh, they looked cute when I did them but as you can see she has very fine hair and is going to need some product to keep it from frizzing. O well. I still think she’s cute 🙂

It looks like she's been through a day with this hair - not a minute!

Showing me her cute sandals - so happy it is warm out!

all of a sudden she looks like a 2 year old!!

my little babies - don't tell Packer I called him little

these 3 are looking so much alike lately

    St. George Part II

The rest of our pictures from the trip:

Packer has been begging to go fishing since he got a fishing pole for Christmas. They brought their poles to Sand Hollow Reservoir and had a good time pretending to fish.

Matt and Jamie brought 2 wave runners to the reservoir which made for a perfect day at the beach!!

Packer and I heading out for a ride. He did not want to come back in and loved 'driving' it!

Benji ran around with cousins all day and rolled around in the sand. He is getting so big lately - must be almost 5!

The sand was very red but very fine and soft - We built a sand castle and a sand turtle and a fish.

Cali was sooo good at the beach. She played in the shade tent for a long time and then LOVED the water when I finally let her get in.

Friday was spent at the reservoir. Saturday was playground, pool, movie and park. And Sunday was time to come home already :(. The trip went way to fast.  Today is another wet and rainy day in PG – we snuck over to the park – and were the ONLY ones there, we did beat the storm so it worked out well. Cali has finished her 2 hour nap – I have come to learn that that is exactly what I can expect of her. Atleast I am learning not to hope for those 3 hour naps anymore.

    Sunday morning at the condo.Â

Cali and Anna - ready for church.

p.s. Erica documented our trip to the Dinosaur museum on Wednesday and I didn’t take any pictures so CLICK HERE FOR THAT

    over-rated

I always thought St. George was over rated. EVERYONE in Utah County goes there for vacation and really is it that cool of a place?
Well, ya – when winter seems to be never ending St. George is the perfect answer. The drive is ‘short’ and the weather was awesome. The first few days of spring break were spent cooped up in our house with an occasional outing into the snow dustings:

On Thursday we drove down to St. George and watched as the thermometer climbed from the 50’s into the high 70’s and then the 80’s. We had a perfect weekend at the pool, at the lake, and with a bunch of cousins. It was very nice to catch a glimpse of the spring weather to come – please come fast!

My computer is being super slow right now and I need to get the kids in bed so I will put more pictures up later. Over-rated or not? – – either way we had a great weekend!

    Egg Hunt with the Cousins!!

So glad it wasn’t raining this year! Outside egg hunts are way better than inside. The kids were super excited to find their eggs and super cute to watch…

    CALI:

CALI - Ready for her first Egg hunt - I'm pretty sure she didn't participate last year...

Uh Oh - spilled the loot a few times!

Uh Oh - spilled the loot a few times!

    haircuts, shots, furniture and more

Is it really Wednesday already? time is just passing me by. Here is the latest and Greatest from us:

The Boys finally got haircuts! They were so over due but I was enjoying seeing what their hair did as it got long and how different their hair is.

    AFTER:

This little girl doesn’t need a haircut yet – 14 months and counting. (21 pounds, 29 inches)

I got bedroom furniture! I upgraded from this: one plastic dresser of 3 drawers and everything else stuffed in the closet-

to: several drawers, a headboard, and a place for everything! I’m loving it-

Yesterday I didn’t look at the calendar until noon and by then we had missed our Dr. appointments. I am just spacing everything – where has my brain gone? Luckily they let us come in the afternoon. Cali had 6 shots! but she was easy and just cried for the minute that it took them to get all of the shots in her legs. She also has a yeast infection and the Dr wants me to get the little sores on her leg cleared up – she’s had it in her fat roles off and on for a long time. Sounds bad but really not so much. Now Benji had to get his shots for kindergarten – NOT EASY. He worried about it all day. He told me 3 things that I could do to help him calm down when he gets his shots and he was just nervous. The bad part was that he remembered that Pacen got 2 shots to go to kindergarten – well he had to get 5! and he freaked out. Our nurse brought in another nurse to help. He cried for each one but then he actually admitted that it wasn’t that bad. The anticipation of it all is what does him in. We were there until 5:30. The last ones out of the office and the first ones to McDonalds to console the 4 year old 🙂 Amazing what a plastic toy and a few chicken nuggets will do.

Cali caught in the act – SHE LOVES TO PESTER PACKER!

My brother made it home from his mission last  Wednesday! He sounds great and we are waiting for him to come visit at the end of the month.

We’re getting spring fever. The snow on our front lawn has finally melted but we’re still not into the 50’s yet. Packer is on his bike in the front yard as I type this. He is my outside guy and he is trying to get out there but the frozen fingers don’t let him last to long. He and Cali spent some time at the sandbox before lunch and Cali tried to be big and do Play-doh with her brother. The problem is her next diaper will be full of both Play-doh and Sand 🙁

That should do it for now. Maybe I won’t wait a week for my next post  🙂  Maybe I will.

    Monte L. Bean Museum

We went to the BYU Bean Museum today  with my sister in law and her kids.  It was pretty crowded by the end (maybe no one had school :))but my kids had fun identifying the different animals. As I expected Benji was the first one that was ‘tired’ and ready to go, Packer wanted to be held the whole time and Cali was not happy to be in her stroller. I guess that is why we don’t go everyday but for today it was good.

Their favorite part of course was the air vent that was outside th museum blowing hot air up at them…

    Catch Up

Saturday January 9, 2010: We went to the “Reel Big Fish” concert in SLC. Than and Erica came with us. It was a fun night out, reminiscent of our college days. We were definitely a bit out of place and I wouldn’t go to the same concert again but we had a good time.

Friday January 15, 2010: Ben left with the Scouts for the Klondike Snow camp out. So it was just me and the kids and 13 cousins came over for cousins night and LaNell and her cousin Katie came over to keep me company and help with the 3 one year olds and 3 two year olds. So we had a busy night and Ben had a warm night under the stars in his “burrito”.

Sunday January 17, 2010: We got to church and realized that Packer’s eyes were looking red. I brought him and Cali home as he tried to convince me that “I not have pink eye.” We made cookies and Packer decided that he loved his church vest and didn’t take it off until bedtime. I forced myself to read the lessons for Sunday School and R.S. before watching the NFL Playoff games – I know that shouldn’t be a tough choice and I’d be even better not to watch them at all on Sunday but…

Tuesday January 19, 2010: I woke up and went straight to the Dr’s office – I had these same symptoms last year and new that I had a “severe case of Strep”. I spent the entire day in bed. Every part of my body was achy and tired. I couldn’t even hold the kids. Super Man (that’s Ben) stayed home and took care of everything. He worked from home and took care of the kids. The kids were little angels for him, and cried and whined every time they saw me – why? why do kids do that?

That’s our update. Today was a lazy, get my strength back, day (and fold the mound of laundry). I love days like this when I’m not trying to get anything done and can just enjoy the kids. Benji and Packer are the best of friends now. I just realized that they really play well together. Benji doesn’t beg to play with friends everyday because he can get Packer to be a super hero or Ben 10 or whatever he wants. And Cali is SO CUTE. She loves to be doing what the brothers are doing.

    Games, Food and Sports

Games, Food, and Sports would pretty much summarize our Christmas Vacation. We drove to California the day after Christmas and stayed for the week. Ten of the twelve Tom and Annette kids were home for the Holiday – the two missing are serving missions so we were actually happy not to have them! Again – we played games, like Dominion, Hand and Foot, Nertz, Ticket to Ride and the Name game. We played a lot of soccer – even got to play on the new turf downtown that my brother Kevin has been the architect for the rebuild. And we always eat way to much, I love this part because I am never in the kitchen but there is always good food (thnx mom).

    The Hand and Foot Game

Here is a game of Hand and Foot!

    New Years Day Dinner!

    HULA’s – this is a Robertson favorite!

    Soccer on the new field

The whole Crew - except Ben is taking the picture and John and Tracie and Joel weren't there either.

Cali wants in on the action

Flag Football, we've got enough for a game just with the family!

in between the sports, games and eating we did:

    a little dress up…

    organized Mom’s grandkid wall…

    Celebrated the New Year…

Took pictures of Kelsey – she’s the baby – A Senior!

And we opened a few gifts…

    Christmas Day!

We love spending Christmas morning at our house with our kids. Benji woke up around 8:00 and came in to tell us that there really were presents here. Ben and I had been awake and waiting ( I think we were as excited as the kids). So Benji woke up Packer and Cali and we had an enjoyable morning opening presents and playing with them along the way. The kids were all excellent present openers. There were too many presents as usual. We played most of the day. And packed our bags for California. I’m not into the Christmas dinner making yet so we just snack and eat all of the food that is going to go bad while we are out of town. We spent an hour or two at the Falabella’s while we dropped off Brewer for the week and that was the day. I would do it the same next year.
