There are the Goats!
We Love Al Johnsons!
It was past bedtime but there was still visiting to be done so I had to do some entertaining.
Packer the Chicken Attacker!
Wagon Ride!
Benji and the goats watching the sheep.
What is up with Packer and the Pigs Noses!! Nasty!
Benji and the Bunnies.
This guy is scary – even for me. (He did have a haircut since the last time I was there so he looked a little more friendly.)
Are you guys done yet!?!
We walked in where the bulls were and asked Benji what these big animals were, “Rhinos!”
We think that having a large dog at home made the big farm animals less scary because both of our boys were unafraid!
Believe it or not we have more pictures but I think that is enough Farm for anyone to be sick of 🙂
Rick, Jen, Savannah, Harper, Phoenix, Marek, Talia. Pete, Amanda, Sydney, Lily, PJ, Julia, Sam. Rick, Kris. Matt, Jamie, Carter, Cody, Caitlin, Ashlyn, Anna. Ben, Jana, Benji, Packer.
Our Little Family – we almost felt out of place without 3 more kids and a big Suburban 🙂
I love games and I love cards but this has got to be the most backwards card game ever invented. All of the Nettesheim Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents and Cousins love this game but in the 5 years since I was introduced to it I have not been able to make a place for it in my heart or my memory – maybe someday it will click…….. http://www.sheepshead.org/basicrules.cfm
For Now we stick to easier games!
You sit up to the bar and the waitresses send all of the food out on a train. The kids loved seeing the train come.
Our Drinks stopped right in front of us.
When there is a lull in the food then they send dancing animals out on the train – Benji and Packer thought that was great. So did the rest of the cousins.
The food was good but you definitely paid for the entertainment in the price!
And outside the restaurant they had some great peddle bikes and a track to ride on – we spent a good hour riding after lunch.
Grandma and Grandpa even took a turn!
Packer made the big move to a Big Boy Carseat and is loving it. We love watching him dance in the car.
My brother Josh and his wife Mallory and Baby Payton came to visit at the beginning of the month! You might note that their 6 month old is the same size as our 1 year old – hmmm – -maybe we are short parents 🙂
Summer is finally here so we spent a Saturday in the yard getting it cleaned up and “making the sand box cool”. Benji and Packer are loving the sand box and as long as I don’t mind Packer eating all of the sand then it is hours of unsupervised fun.
Ben has been waiting for the weather to warm up so that he could get the garden started. It’s been a little rough with bad weather, the dog chewing the soaker hoses and some sort of animal has taken a liking to all of the pumpkin plants so few have survived :( But … we are determined to have a salsa garden and a few pumpkins at Halloween 🙂 Good work Ben and happy 33rd Birthday!
I got a new Vacuum! A Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum – I love it and I love that it actually gets the Dog Hair out of my house!
May 16th and 17th was our ward father and sons campout! I tried to convince Ben to take BOTH of his sons but he didn’t quite go for that. So Benji and Dad went to the little Sahara desert and had a good time in the sand dunes. Though I did hear that on the way home Benji said “Dad, that was fun, but next time Mom should come too.” How sweet. It was less than 24 hours but Packer and I missed them.
Benji PLayed Flashlights in the tent for a good 45 minutes before falling asleep 🙂
We might need a bigger pool this summer…
We spent a day at Yuba Lake with Erica and Pacen and Camry Hancock. It was a fun day – good picnic, warm water, mostly happy kids but it was a little stinky and got windy when it was time to go. So we’re still looking for a good lake and wishing we lived by Lake Oroville – what a beautiful and perfect swimming lake – I miss it 🙁
That was our month. Today was the last day of school so the neighbor girls came to see if Benji and Packer wanted to come ride bikes and play in the Cul-de-sac 🙂 and my sister-in-law Jamie had a baby this morning! A girl! Number 5! No name yet 🙂
For Spring Break we went to St. George for a long weekend. We enjoyed swimming, hiking and condo-ing with some of the Nettesheim Clan. Some of the clan wasn’t much fun – just kidding – we just didn’t have the whole Nettesheim Clan there so we enjoyed our time with some! We hiked the crack and had a good time betting on who would or would not be able to make it through. I being mildly claustrophobic was not the first to go through but I did make it. In fact Benji even went – we are sure that he didn’t realize what he was doing until it was to late but he did it! We went to the St. George temple on Sunday and got some good pictures there. I just loved being with family and with my boys and the warm weather was very nice.
This last picture is when we finally got home on Tuesday and I was exhausted and I was letting the boys play in the backyard unattended because the couch was a lot more comfortable to be sitting on than our broken porch. Benji came in for a diaper change and Packer was out crying during the change – I finally made it out to find Pack crawling out of the dog house and looking like he just lost a boxing match. He was filthy. This second child is nothing like his older brother!
Brett Favre is no more! The Nettesheim Extended Family has mixed emotions as our veteran quarterback announced his retirement. I’m glad that Ben got to go to the Denver Monday Night game last year to see him play, not to mention finally getting his Favre jersey and naming our second born after the team! It was the year of the Packers for us – fitting that it was the last year for Favre 🙁
