Demolition Derby
Saturday night we attended the Salt Lake County Demolition Derby! We look forward to going to the demolition derby. This was the 10th year that we have gone with friends and family. 10 YEARS! As my friend Erika said, “This is the only tradition that has lasted besides Christmas dinner!” This year we went with Sean and Erika, Larry and Megan, Mom and Dad, Pete and Amanda, Matt and Jamie and Karen. We all brought our older kids. Only Benji and Packer for us. It was awesome not having tired kids or babies on my lap. This is where I would like to insert a group picture but my phone camera died after the first hour… so here are Benji and Packer with their cousins PJ, Julia, and Sam.
The scary part of the night was when one of the trucks gas pedal got stuck and he couldn’t stop. He came barrelling over the dirt barrier and slammed into theย metal fence just 10 feet in front of us before cutting the engine. We were so thankful that the fence held and everyone was safe.
The best part is the contest that Ben created and we all get to try and pick the winning cars. I had to hand the trophy over to Carter Thal this year. I’m hoping to get that picture from someone else but in the mean time I’ll leave you with a nice pic of Ben’s facial hair and a Yee Haw for Derbies!
I love exhaust!
