Rosies Fat Lip and Ray Rays Teeth
Rose will not ride in the stroller. She turned 2 on the first of October, Just one month ago! BUT she will not ride. She wants to walk. We walk Packer to school almost everyday so now it takes us double or triple the time because we have to go Rosie Speed. She walked at cornbellies. She walked all of trick or treating. I still take the double stroller in hopes of convincing her to jump in but she never does. Last Friday she walked and she tripped and she got a fat lip and she bled a lot but, guess what? She STILL would not get in the stroller!! I finally got her home and got the blood cleaned up. She needed a sippy and blanket and 2 band aids on her feet! Her tooth looked pretty bad but has healed ok from what I can see.
And as most of these incidents go, little brother decided that he was not happy and needed to cry the whole time with her π
Ray got 3 new teeth in October. He got one while we were in Florida and here towards the end of the month he decided to cut 2 more on top. I’m guessing the 4th top will be in soon because he has been a grouch today. He is officially our early kid. He came a little early in general and has done everything from teeth to hair to roll, sit, crawl, stand. He slept longer earlier and ate real food super early. Anyway, he is growing up fast. I think he is done nursing. Maybe once a day until I am done but he would much rather have a banana, cereal and bottle.
The 8th Annual Great Pumpkin Party
We had family and friends over last friday for our Great Pumpkin party. The kids look forward to this all month. We worried about the cold weather and wondered if any leaves would fall. We popped lots of popcorn and confirmed that the hot chocolate would be here. It ended up being a little chilly for the kids but none of them cared. Β Ben hid Halloween Lego Characters in the backyard for the kids to hunt for while we waited for it to get dark.We raffled off the best seat in the house along with a few other prizes this year with the neighborhood really getting into it.! We had lots of people come and WE LOVED IT. 8th year was a success!
OCTOBER is OVER
Another month has come and gone! It has been a fun month but it has also been overwhelming at times. 5 kids is a lot of work. Yes I know that is a blanket statement but without writing a novel that sums it up nicely. 5 kids is a lot of fun, love, crazy, and WORK. This post is random October news but I will be blogging about our last Five Fun Filled Days of Halloween FUN!! so stay tuned (yes, mostly talking to my mother because I know she will check daily until I update)…
Raymond is on the move. He has tumbled down the stairs twice this month π
Packer is growing leaps and bounds right now. The alphabet is clicking for him and he is loving learning. He no longer leaves out the e in his name. He loves doing his homework and surprises me everyday with what he has learned. I loved this drawing he brought home:
Benji has a lot of homework all of a sudden. His teacher just gave them 3 spelling assignments per week along with the other homework so we have been busy. He used to be able to get it all done in a day but now he gets home at 3:30 and reads until 4 and then homework until 4:30. Of course if there is an goofing around, treat eating, bathroom breaks… then this is all pushed back and he’s not done until dinner time!
Cali often has crazy hair like Rose but she has recently decided that she likes to brush her own hair and try and make herself look cute. She is more particular about me picking out her clothes and almost always chooses to wear a skirt.
The kids had their Primary Program at church this month. They all did really well on their little parts. Benji was brave and gave a short talk about when he was locked in the closet with his friend and they prayed for help. I teach Benji’s class so I got to be on the stand this year. I love the program but I did not love the crazy tired kids during 2nd and 3rd hour.
