Blue Sharks
BLUE SHARKS
Cali got to play Soccer for the first time this year!! She was so excited because she’s been going to her brothers games for as long as she can remember. She was on the same team as her cousin Mia and our friend Jackson. This is the first team that Ben didn’t coach so we had coach Stacey. Cali did really well. She wasn’t afraid to go after the ball and had a good sense of trying to get to the goal. She scored goals in her first and last game! We worked a little on stopping the other team from scoring. She is aggressive and not afraid to get in the middle of the action. I enjoyed watching her play and am excited for spring when they play again.
cookie dough
I’ve started watching what I eat but today the calories got the best of me and I snitched some cookie dough that was in the fridge. As I sneakily indulged in the sweet cookie dough, Rose appeared at my side:
Rose: Whatcha Eating Mom?
Me: Rice.
Rose: What kind of Rice?
Me: The kind we had for dinner last night.
Rose: Is it Cookie Dough Rice?
Me: umm
Rose: Can I have some cookie dough?
At this point I felt bad for lying and gave everyone cookie dough – (which is exactly what I didn’t want to do)… Lying is never the answer.
Other Stuff in OCTOBER
October Pictures:
The Pumpkin Patch
We went to the PUMPKIN PATCH!! We usually get pumpkins at the local grocery store but we thought we’d try something new this year. There is a pumpkin patch that we pass on our way to Grandma and Grandpa’s house so we’ve been watching the patch grow and headed there to find our pumpkins.
I think we’ll go back to the grocery store next October BUT it was fun to try something new.
My 3 Babies

These 3 are little and require a lot of time and effort. 36 months, 20 months and 1 month! Some days I am in over my head. Lots of days I just have to realize that the house is going to get messier rather than cleaner. When they do nap it is rarely at the same time and then I have a pre-schooler, 1st grader and 3rd grader that need love, attention, help with home work and the older 3 also know how to make messes. I’m hoping we find a routine in the next little while but in the mean time we do have a messy house and there is chaos behind our new chocolate brown door 🙂 and YES, I do have my hands full!
(and I do feel the need to accompany this post with how cute and adorable and precious and worthwhile these kids are BUT that’s what every other post is for.)
Millie = One Month
Isn’t she so cute? Once they are here it feels like you’ve always had them. Millie has been a joy this first month. She doesn’t like to sleep alone but I love to snuggle with her and as long as she’s being snuggled she sleeps soundly. She just started holding her head up – wobbly but trying. We think we’ve seen a few smiles – probably gas but we’ll take it. She does make eye contact and just looks so sweet. She still loves her pacifier or her fist if she can ever get it unwrapped.
We’ve taken it pretty easy this month and survived. Ben and I find ourselves counting to 6 a lot when we do take the kids out 🙂 I’ve only had to cook dinner a handful of times because so many friends and family brought us food! I don’t like to cook and dinner time is always the most hectic part of the day so that was a huge blessing. We LOVE baby Millie and are so grateful for a happy healthy baby!
CORNBELLYS
Crazy Hair Day
Now the problem is it’s been 3 days with crazy hair and we haven’t fixed their hair cuts! maybe tonight… or at least before we go to church on Sunday 🙂
Raymond’s First Haircut
Ray baby is officially a big toddler now – 20 months. He is as cute as ever.
