Benji had another Birthday. He was so anxious leading up to it but he had no idea what gifts he wanted. He did know that he wanted a cousins night party (those are the best and easiest 🙂 ) And he knew that he’d get lots of love and attention and gifts. We did his party on Saturday night since his Birthday was on a Sunday this year. Cousins came over and hung out and then we played a Hearth Stone game of Challenges. The challenges were fun to watch everyone try.

Benji and Julia are birthday buddies.
He told me that he wanted a “Lego Movie – Cloud Cuckoo Land” Cake… I had no idea what that was so he drew me a picture and we googled it and here is what we came up with… we were very proud of our Uni-kitty and Dog and Rainbow:
Benji is a great kid. He still loves electronics, make believe and cousins. This year he has also grown to love books, friends and playing with siblings. He is an Awesome 9 year old!
We have been really enjoying the world cup this year! We almost went to Brazil to watch a few games but it didn’t work out in the end. We are watching lots of games on TV. We were sad to see USA go out in the round of 16, but we will be cheering for Brazil tomorrow afternoon. It’s been fun to fly our flags and wear our jerseys and enjoy the game. I don’t ever remember being this into the games… It has helped that we’ve been home for most of the summer. SOCCER is Awesome!
While searching for my Brazil jerseys I found a rug that I bought from a very sweet, very old, lady in Brazil. It’s making my dish doing much more enjoyable 🙂
