Rose is 4!
Rose had a BIRTHDAY! It’s so fun to celebrate these kids. Rosie has been WAITING soo long and now she is 4! She was so excited she literally couldn’t sleep! She came in my room twice in the 3am ish hours and then when I woke up at 7 she was snuggling on my floor waiting for morning 🙂
She opened presents first thing in the morning! and then played with presents all day. She got a Princess Anna dress and the Anna, Elsa and Olaf mini figures. She got Frozen Spot It and frozen book and frozen coloring book. She also got a La La Loopsy and Elsa Snow Queen Gloves! YES she is in love with Frozen and didn’t have anything Frozen so she was over due 🙂 Rose is a very quiet present opener. It’s almost like she is hesitant to see what is inside. A few times she got the giddy excited body shakes but mostly she would open a present and then wait for the next. If I didn’t know better I’d think she maybe didn’t like the gift but then she spent the entire day in her dress acting out Frozen, coloring and playing Spot it and introducing Elsa and Anna to her other princesses. She repeated the play process again today, just how we pictured it when we bought the gifts 🙂
We had a busy evening with scouts and soccer but we finished the night with a beans and rice dinner that Rose chose and then some cupcakes and ice cream. Rose tried not to talk while eating her cake but her siblings were relentless in trying to make her. She thought that she could talk in between bites as long as she didn’t have cake in her mouth 🙂 and we let her off the hook when the tears started coming. Grandma and Grandpa Nettesheim came over right before bed time and Rose got to open a present from them!
On Thursday we worked on the cake. It was a bit of work but that’s mostly because I’m not good at Fondant. Rose really liked the cake and made it worth the effort to see her smiling face 🙂
She got her present from Grandma and Grandpa Robertson in the mail that day and then Friday evening she had a bunch of the cousins over for a birthday party! She was EXCITED for her party. She really wanted to play Duck duck goose and doggie doggie where’s your bone. Next they had a little dance party and Then Ben did a fun Disney movie game where he would play the beginning of a song and the kids had to run and find the picture of the right movie and see who could guess the movie the fastest. It was a hit for all ages. Rose loved opening a few more presents and then we ate cake and watched a movie and had a sleep over with Matt and Jamie’s girls.
