We started in Fantasyland. We wanted to try Peter Pan because we had never done it but the line was long from the first moments of the day so we skipped it. Instead we did almost EVERY other ride in Fantasyland: Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Mr. Toad, Carrousel, Tea Cups, Alice in Wonderland, Matterhorn Bobsleds!!
We were picture happy that first morning 🙂 There were just so many big happy smiles to capture. We worked hard to earn our Disney trip and the place really is magical for all ages… But don’t worry we did slow down a little with the camera… So then we strolled over to Big Thunder Mountain. Benji, Packer, Cali, and Rose loved it. Ray was freaked out and didn’t go on it again. And I got a turn on the Matterhorn. Then we went up to ToonTown to see MICKEY!
Next we hit Adventureland and New Orleans Square: Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, Haunted Mansion a few times:
Then to end the evening: Ben and Tiago got us a spot to see the parade. Kelsey and the big kids rode Space Mountain and I took Millie and Ray back to Ride the train and the carrousel and the tea cups:
The Lights PARADE was AMAZING! So fun! Then the kids fell asleep while we tried to find a place to watch the fireworks. We didn’t have a good view of the castle but we could see the projections on the Matterhorn mountain. And that is how we did Disney Day 1. We ordered pizza and crashed!
We went shopping on Thursday! and we went to the movie on Friday night with the Nettys! Captain America Civil War! Carter, Lily and Diego all have birthdays the first part of May like Ben 🙂 Tons of fun.
We spent the day in the car – driving to Anaheim – listening to music… stopped for custard…
We checked into the hotel in Anaheim and had IHOP for dinner next door and then watched the Disney fireworks from the top of the Hotel!
We opened presents before we left.
We had cake and cream the night before with the mothers day crew 🙂
900 stickers and we are going to Disneyland!! The kids are so excited! I’m proud of their hard work. Ray wakes up every morning now asking if today is the day to go to Disneyland 🙂 Millie is also Giddy to see some princesses. Benji remembers everything from when we went 3 years ago so he is excited. Packer is excited for most of it – and a little nervous. Cali and Rose are hoping they are TALL enough to ride on the big rides 🙂 Ben and I are excited too. Should be lots of fun!
We loved playing with little baby Hadley. Tiago is so big next to her. Packer got his birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Robertson!
On Thursday we all drove to Springville and picked up Aunt Diane and Aunt Susan and went to lunch at Del Taco! It was fun to see them and catch up since they moved out here from Oroville. The kids got to play and we got to chat. Sean and Kelsey met us there and we brought Gus.
More chill time: Laser tag, playing with babies,
And then playing Code Names when we finally get the kids in bed 🙂 I think the boys won this round.
On Friday I watched the Hancock kids and Tracie and John visited some friends. Then Saturday they packed up while we ran between soccer games. They came to one of the games and loaded up a bunch of Brady’s things from the basement. We went out for Kong Kones and said our goodbyes around 2:00.
Ben and I played in a soccer game at 3:00 and then Ryan and Mary and kids came over! W played a few games and ate dinner and taught Kelsey how to play Puerto Rico and then Joel and Megan called to tell us that the party was at their house! We headed over there at 9:30 and they had leftover birthday party treats unlimited! We ate pizza and soda and churros and cookies and cake and donuts and… I don’t even know what they ate but they were happy. We played a round of fibbage and came home a little after 11:00pm.
And that was our week/weekend! non stop fun. In the meantime Brady finished his first week at the Academy! and a few pics I stole from Tracie…
RACE:
This was the final standings: Packer got 7th and Benji got 8th!
Ben and Rose had a soccer game at the same time as the derby so we asked Grandma and Grandpa to come to the derby to help with the kids. They were excellent help. The boys had fun. They were hoping for the win but it’s a good learning experience.
This was Benji’s last pinewood derby! Packer has 1 more year!
These older kids have ideas for their birthday cakes. This one is Geometry Dash – a cell phone/tablet game that the kids are into right now.
On Saturday the 23rd we invited cousins over for a party. We played arcades and Ben made up a Geometry Dash Obstacle Course game.
we opened presents and ate cake and ice cream!
Big cousins entertained little cousins and everyone tried Ben’s virtual Reality… Then on Sunday night we had the first ever Netty Fireside 🙂 Grandpa taught us all about the plan of salvation.
MONDAY MORNING – BIRTHDAY!! we had to wake up early so he could open presents before school! don’t know how that tradition started….
He got Laser Tag! and Mine craft Textures and Skins! He got a new Scooter! and Books! and a night light!
That night Grandma and Grandpa Nettesheim came over to wish him a happy birthday and gave him some Rockets and the Hancocks came for some Brownies and Ice cream!
It was a busy day! to end a busy weekend! 3 party nights in a row at our house! We love Packer
