Our poor kids had to walk to school in the snow! I shoveled for hours. The kids all played for hours after school. This is the most it has snowed at one time since I’ve lived in PG!

The Church made some new changes this year and all boys turning 12 this year were able to get the priesthood as soon as they were interviewed and found worthy! All Boys turning 14 could be ordained to a Teacher and boys turning 16 could become Priests!
So we had a big family gathering and these 6 on the couch (not Diego) were all given their priesthood ordinations!!
I can’t believe Packer is a Deacon just like that! and passing the sacrament! and collecting Fast Offerings. And just like that Benji jumped into the Teachers quorum where Ben is the advisor. These boys are awesome!
The State Wrestling Tournament! Packer wrestled on Friday. He got to miss school but I didn’t get to go cause everyone else had school. He wrestled hard but lost both of his matches. On Saturday morning Ben took Benji and he also had two tough losses. A quick grocery run and then Ben and Ray and I went for Raymonds matches. He was in a 4 man round robbin and he won all 3 of his matches! William Boren wrestled next to him in the beginners bracket and he also won all 3! Michelle and Udine stopped in to watch Ray!
Meanwhile at home the kids made stations and entertained each other all day! Lego Station. Mini Games Station. Art Station. Snow Cone Station.
After enjoying sunsets on the beach it was easier to notice our own amazing sunsets! And then the next morning it snowed 🙁
There was no school on the Monday after our trip so I got to snuggle and hang out with them all day while they wore their new cool shirts we got them. (Ben wishing he was still in PR, not at work in the snow)
Tiago was sick most of the week 🙁 Millie was just getting over the sickies. Ray and Rose were also sick off and on. Benji and Packer checked in with us throughout the week from the tablet when they’d go home to change clothes and shower. I think we talked to Cali, Rose and Ray once. We’re grateful for friends and family that were willing to take them in for the week! and allow us a worry free vacation.
Heading HOME after a great week! We could have had fun anywhere with this group but we had a lot of fun in Porto Dipo! (even if they thought we ordered 5 pieces of pizza when we ordered 5 pizzas – grandma and grandpa at the pizza shop busted out those pizzas at 11pm once we were able to communicate!)
We finally got a picture of all of the Boys in their Rompers! and then headed to the airport at 8am. We flew back to Charlotte and had some churches chicken and then on to Salt Lake. We didn’t get home until about 10:30pm. And the children were nestled all snug in their beds 🙂
Here are the pictures that I stole from others or just didn’t make it into my day by day:
Thanks mom and dad for a great family and planning a great trip!
