PG Pool Day
Finally made it back to the Pool.
Finally made it back to the Pool.
We still owed the kids Ice Cream for soccer goals and wrestling pins or whatever else we had bribed them with so… our solution = LEATHERBY’s!
We let them order whatever they wanted and then we’ll start a clean slate this Fall Soccer Season. The ice creams were yummy and huge. None of us finished what we ordered. We def. should have shared!
These girls don’t PLAY many VIDEO games but they do love to VIDEO themselves making PLAYs!
Coloring, Swimming, Picnics, and Video Games!
Cali had a little 3v3 tournament on a Thursday morning as part of Alpine Days. She had never played 3v3 so it took a bit for them to figure it out. Cali, Anna, and Ellie were a team and they had no subs. They got beat2 games and won the last game. They had some great goals though and by the end it seemed like they were ready to enter the tournament 🙂
Benji chose to hit the Pickleball courts! We played about 3 games and worked on our serves and on putting spin on the ball. We had such a good time on the court. Of course I tried to talk about life and school and friends and girls but we mostly talked smack and focused on the game.
We got rained on a little but we stuck it out and enjoyed being cooled off. We headed to Sodalicious to use Benji’s FREE drink and then to Costa Vida because he chose a burrito over a milk shake.
Benji is getting so grown up. It was a blast to spend the afternoon with him.
Packer wanted to hike so I chose Stewart Falls! I didn’t really know what I was doing but we tapped it into the GPS and went for it. Packer was a great hiker and didn’t complain at all. He is a natural.
I tried to talk about life and stuff but he kept bringing up nature and how beautiful the view was and what kind of trees we were seeing and wondering about the avalanche that bent all of the trees over in one section. He noticed the tree roots in the path and the cool rocks. Really a natural hiker!
We did make it to the falls but the water was way to cold for either one of us to want to get in. We got our feet wet and crossed the river and chilled for a minute before hiking back. We grabbed onion rings and milk shakes on the drive home. 4 hours well spent.
Cali and I headed out to Roller Blade. We went to the Provo River trail that leads to Utah Lake. Our first stop was actually to Target to get the new boots that she really wanted for school!
Cali has gotten pretty good on her blades and we took right off. We talked about life and the new school year. We talked about roller blading skills and about the smooth newly paved trail vs. the old one where we had to avoid the holes.
We smiled and laughed and only held hands a couple of times cause its easier to blade not holding hands. When we got back to the car we HAD to jump in the river and cool off and grab a Frosty for the drive home! Cali was so fun to hang out with.
Rose and I chilled out at the pond! We grabbed drinks before we went and soaked in the sun. We found a nice spot to set up. Then Rose paddled around in the kayak while I got my raft blown up. We swam together and jumped off the dock together.
I let Rose pull me around on my floatie. We ate sun flower seeds and chatted about how much we love swimming and playing and we wish the other kids could come here with us.
I had to pull Rose out of the water after a few hours so we could go home and get back to reality. She was so fun to be with and we had a great adventure.
Raymond chose to Hike to the Y. We went in the morning and were blessed with an overcast day. When we started Ray was exploring and jumping around. A few feet later he was tired and resting on the rocks. We had fun making it to each switch back and trying to keep on going until we got to the top.
We chatted a little about school and friends but we mostly chatted about nature and things on the hike. Ray was very observant about the plants and trail and cloud cover.
When we got to the top we had to touch the Y and sit at the top and count the temples that we could see. We had to stay as far away from the bees as we could and then we hurried down the mountain. Ray pretty much ran down. I think that was one of his favorite parts. We stopped for a BYU Creamery Ice Cream on the was home!
