Benji is at the High School now!! 8 minute drive. School starts at 7:45 and gets out at 12:30. He’s got all the basic math and AP Bio and Seminary. Then he is in Musical Theater and Wrestling and those two are keeping him busy!
He gets a ride with Lalo every other day and then calls me for a ride after wrestling practice.
Benji was supposed to be in the spring musical at the jr high but it got cancelled with school being cancelled. He decided to be in the final production this month! AND HE LOVED IT! The first night he just had a small part but the 2nd night he had a pretty big role!
Saturday Night Show:
We spent Thursday helping in Shannons classroom! And then Friday we hung out and mom and dad came back from their southern utah trip. Tracie went and stayed with Johna dn his family. Benji had his first performance for the Jr High musical. On Saturday we played some games and girls got haircuts from Grandma and then met up with Kelsey for Taco Bell at the park and then school supply shopping. The DI and Deseret Book and then that night we went to Benji’s play and others watched it on the tv livestream. At 9:30 Kelsey and I had to play some pickleball and then some Nertz with Mom. Sunday wedid church and had everyone over for dinner and then drove to Murray for Baby Reeces baby blessing! Then Monday Tracie and the kids came back and we went to lunch with Dads side of the family: Diane and Susan and Russ and Karen! That night we went to the park in Lehi and had pizza and hung with Sean and Joel and watched Cali’s soccer scrimmage. And that was it. They headed home Tuesday morning and the kids headed to the first day of school 🙂
We all got to go help Shannon prepare her classroom! Benji and Packer were so awesome to watch all the kids all day!! We had a lot of fun WORKING: coloring, labeling, putting together baskets and pencil boxes, laminating and more coloring:
Lunch Break – we grabbed Zupas and In and Out and met back at the school
Then we took 2 more hours and finished up!
The next day we went up the canyon with the Nettesheim crew for 2 nights of camping!! We had beautiful campsites all secluded from other campers!

Tuesday we just stayed in camp all day and played! Benji had to go down for play practice but that was only a 30 minute drive so it worked! HAMMOCKS!!!

We had a busy lazy day in camp and then Grandma and Grandpa came up for dinner. Pete’s family never made it up to camp. Wednesday we packed up camp and headed home – Ben dropped Benji off for rehearsal and brought Brewer up for a couple of hours! He LoveD chasing the chipmunks!

Came to play Friday night – 7th! We all loved on that baby! and the younger kids just played and played!
Mom and Dad also came out and stayed at Joel’s. We went to the Geneva splash pad on Saturday. Dad came with us while mom hung out with her sisters.
That night we left the kids at home and all went out to eat at Kitchen 88: Mom and Dad, Christy, Jana, Ben, Joel, Megan, Tracie, Shannon, Tommi, Sean, Jana and Kelsey!
On Sunday we did church at our house with Tracie’s family and then we all went to Joels for a goodbye Shae and Tyler Party!!

Ben had a work retreat Thursday and Friday. I went up Friday night for dinner (yum)! I did get stuck in traffic for almost 2 hours though 🙁
Our anni was on a Sunday and we spent the day and the days surrounding it with Rick and fam so it was low key but WE STILL LOVE EACH OTHER 🙂 In fact, we get better and better with time. We really have grown together and life is great!
I was fine with the simpleness but Ben couldn’t let it be simple (winking face) I got flowers later that week and a board game that I’ve been wanting! and then a few weeks later I got some nice ear buds!
and Emily finally got to come home from the hospital!!!
Ben and I visited on Saturday night and then everyone went over Sunday evening for dinner!
On Monday night we hung out again and celebrated dads birthday! The kids watched a movie outside and slept out under the stars at Matt and Jamie’s!!
It was nice to see Rick and Jen and catch up with them. So good to see Rick progressing and telling stories and getting around pretty well! The older kids snuck out for snow cones one of the days:
