Meanwhile back in Utah County! Feb 11th – 2nd dose!
Cali had a game Friday at Noon! We came down Thursday after school and got settled at Matt and Jamie’s Condo with them. Then Friday we took all the kids to watch Cali and Anna play!
And then we had to swim! I mean the kids had to swim. And try to play in the basement but there are lots of Covid rules. And we played a fun game of Volleyball.
That evening we went out to Nielsens Frozen Custard!
Saturday Morning the girls had an early game – and it was cold! After the game we hurried home to celebrate Ray’s birthday! Presents and then Bowling and then Pizza and cake and ice cream at night!
Tiago had so much fun trying to bug Matt and Jamie! He was making us all laugh
Of course some of the kids went swimming again after bowling! and Anna and Cali had a bunch of the soccer team over to play some games!
We finished that Birthday night with the best spanking train EVER!
Then we took it easy on Sunday and watched our stake conference and then we went on a drive and hike that afternoon. Jamie tricked us all into doing the Aspiration Trail:
Sunday was also VALENTINE’s DAY! Ben and I exchanged gifts that morning and then for dinner we made spaghetti and red jello and decorated the table! They watched a movie that night and I snuck away to say hi to Trent and Misty Kirby. I just dropped in on their extended family valentine party and had a wonderful chat with all of them. They are just great. Misty is always fun and she seemed to be doing so good.
Monday morning was Cali and Anna’s last soccer game. They won the first, lost the 2nd and then needed to win this last one with points but… it didn’t happen. We drove over and watched the end of PJs game after and then back to the condo.
We packed up and swam again! and then went to Nielsens on the way out of town. It was another super fun weekend away! Goodbye St. George!
February 9th! Tiago lost his 1st TOOTH!
The Super Bowl was the night we got home from Eden so we invited all the Nettys over to continue the party. But we had Robertson people in town that weekend that we hadn’t gotten to see so we mixed and everyone partied together. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers whooped the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.
We had a modge podge of delicious food and everyone had a good time either watching or chatting or eating or chasing Cove!
After school Friday, we loaded the van and drove an hour and a half to Eden! We spent the weekend with some Nettys at Matt and Jamie’s new place! Friday night we just hung out and ate pizza and chatted.
The kids played games in the basement:
Thank you Millie for lots of great pictures! We also watched Wanda Vision and All Round Champion together!
Saturday morning we all took it pretty easy and ate and played games.
Then around 2:00 we went out on the nearby golf course and went sledding!!! It was perfect sledding. Lots of snow. Warm outside. Good size hill! We stayed and played for hours.
Saturday evening we had delicious burritos and celebrated Matts birthday and then played games!!!
On Sunday morning we packed up and then had a little come follow me and Sacrament meeting. It’s so neat to hear testimonies from family and know that we are all in this together. We said goodbyes and listened to our ward church as we drove home! It’s always fun to spend a weekend away with some of our favorite people!
My Morning and Lunchtime Sidekick!
My new WIDE angle view on my phone camera!
And Benji and Ben and I went to watch Lalo in the high school production of the Drowsy Chaperone. He did really good and was fun to watch him sing and dance!
That time my phone flew into the toilet and couldn’t recover! It worked for 2 days after and then it went dark. so sad.
There were so many things that I couldn’t do without my phone! They are such a way of life now. I know I depend on my phone but it was my alarm clock to get up in the mornings. My scripture study. My Portuguese lessons. My calendar for current and future needs. My to do list. My phone and text and contacts and church directory. My CAMERA! And all the fun non important games, netflix, books to read, NEWS, social media. I was literally lost without it! So sad. Ben quickly bought me a new one so I didn’t suffer for long!
