BYU Women’s Conference 2010
I went to Women’s Conference for the first time ever and it was really neat. It was a whirlwind weekend. Friends in town, Running from class to class, staying up late and getting up early. I had a blast. I hope we can do it again next year.
I loved that I got to spend time with old friends. I love reminiscing but I LOVED Â making new memories. On Wednesday night my good friend Nichole came up from St. George. We were best friends all through middle school and Junior High and then they moved from The Ville to Utah. She got to stay at my house and catch up on old times. That night Katie Call also came up from Las Vegas and she and LaNell stopped by for a quick visit and plan prep for the conference the next day. Thursday was day one of conference – Me, Erica, Nichole and Katie…
The other girls had to work and a car load had not been able to get over the snowy Donner Pass in April! I loved Sister Beck’s talk and we had an excellent class on loving scripture study… never again will I “hurry and get my scripture study in so that I can read a ‘good book'”. All of the classes were good and uplifting. We stayed that night to do service which was so crazy and busy that my 2 fairy wands were all I contributed. And the concert that night was pretty entertaining but we were glad to leave early and beat the parking lot rush – and head to the Malt Shop to meet up with the rest of the girls that had made it in from California!! (there is a really good pic of all of us at the Malt Shop but it wasn’t my camera – so I’ll be waiting for the owner to share it 🙂 )
Raeanne Barth, and Cari Havens joined Nichole and I for a sleep over, we grabbed Erica and Angelee Friday morning and headed for Day 2. Â It was another good day of classes and we got to listen to Elder Oaks and his wife to finish it all off. Â I was definitely uplifted and have big plans to increase the quality of my day to day living. I admit that it was rather weird to not change any diapers or put kids to bed or have anyone call me Mommy for 2 days. I think we all missed our kids BUT enjoyed the get-a-way. The craziness continued well into the night on Friday as these pictures will attest. Thanks for an awesome weekend girls!!
And this one I might get in trouble for but it s a true reflection of a late night…
jan. I could have called you mommy all weekend if you wanted me to. I love you and I had a great time with you. thanks.
lan looks so tired in that picture.
I went to Womens Conference too! It was so good!
2 words… soooooooo jealous!
Yay for the RB. I love your collage…we are so cool. Why do we take pictures of ourselves so late at night? I really did have SO much fun with all of you. It was fun to talk and catch up. I love all of you girls and am glad we had this fun weekend, I can’t wait for more in the future.
PS–you can tell me about your moles & stitches anytime… it takes a lot to scare me sistah. 🙂
ugh, I love/hate these pics! I so wish I could have been there to catch up with you all. Thanks for posting about it…
